Out on the Town

Happy New Year's everyone! I don't know about you but I would like to designate 2011 as the year of possibilities.  Hope renewed, mind rejuvenated, and a heart wide open.  This New Year's I ventured out on the city of Syracuse with friends to celebrate 2011 happening.  Which, in retrospect, is a weird celebration in general.  Nevermind, 'tis time to see the pictures!

We started out at wine bar called Bittersweet which was really a cute place.  Half the bar consisted of older folk and then our half had the college students.  Though the bartender might've jipped us a few bucks, it was really a classy, fun place to go.  My friend Kim won a free bottle of wine in the raffle and we all split it.

<<Let's get this party started!>>

<<(5 seconds later) Alright, we're done now. >>

<<Being goofy at the bar>>

After celebrating midnight at Bittersweet wine bar, we decided to hit up the other bars.  I'm not quite sure of their names because I never go out in Syracuse but each place was ridiculous in its own right.  The first bar we went to had a large number of furniture pieces in different animal prints.
<<Me and Jen in a leopard chair. For the record, that's water in my hand.  Dancing is a bit of a workout, especially my kind of dancing>>

<<What'd I tell ya, dancing!>>

<<In my head I dance like Beyonce but apparently that's not what happens>>

The 2nd bar had a weird joker statue that we stood around for a while but it creeped me out so I walked around and found some people to play Jenga with.  Unfortunately I don't think we were the same level of happy because they didn't seem to understand the concept of Jenga.  The big question is, why was there a box of Jenga pieces sitting on a coffee table at the bar?..and why was I attempting to play it?  We shall never know.  Unfortunately I don't have any more photos of the night but it was so much fun and it was a pretty much perfect New Year's.
