Camp is So Over

Camp ended this past Sunday and suddenly I have...freedom? What? So now I have to get back into the habit of taking pictures of everything and then blogging to you guys about it in a semi-sarcastic manner.  After camp I hitched a ride with some of the girls on a coach bus to Long Island under the condition that I distribute water bottles and jolly ranchers to them along the way.  Done and done.  Unfortunately I ended up packing my cellphone somewhere in my luggage (aka bottom of my sleeping bag) and thus had difficulty calling my sister Molly, before I got to Long Island, on the way to Long Island, or once I got to Long Island.  Thus began an awkward adventure in which I begged a cellphone off a random guy, called home to get my sister's number from my Dad who was a little freaked out for me, and then called my sister who didn't pick up.  I think my exact voicemail said, "Hello, it's me um I'm in the parking lot of Macy's here in Long Island, come pick me up whenever you can".  Having made my oh-so-well-thought-out traveling plans I sat down on the sidewalk curb surrounded by my luggage and began reading a book for school. As I sat there on the curb parents welcoming more children/buses continued to run and scream around me with all of their yappy purse dogs and rain clouds started to get bigger so I start eyeing nearby unattended pillows/pillowcases to cover my luggage with...and suddenly Molly appears! Yay, I'm rescued! Thus I survived my way to Long Island and am now staying in my sister's posh apartment. Stay tuned for my next post in which I include photos!
