Back at School

My apologies for being so late with this post, I'm really trying to get back into the posting habit.  I don't want to stop blogging just because summer is over.  This blog will hopefully motivate me throughout the school year to get up and at 'em, if that makes any sense.  So between visiting Molly on Long Island and returning to college for my senior year, I had a week to relax at home.  Unfortunately this involved an uncomfortable discovery that I may or may not be allergic to strawberries and a fantastic trip to the New York State Fair.

On Friday my brother (Neil) my mom (Bonnie) and myself visited the NYS Fair for the day.  Here's a bunch of pictures describing that traditional summer adventure:
<<In the beginning there were maps...and coupons!>>

<<This was only the second day of the fair, the sand sculpture is usually pretty amazing on the last days>>

<<Lunch from the ever classic Gianelli Sausage stand>>

<<Weird stilt people with bird/dragon costumes who pretended to grab my sausage sandwich. Apparently harassment is only OK if you're dressed in bizarre wooden garb>>

<<Prize winning cabbage, congratulations George A. Spader!>>

<<Prize winning corn!>>

<<Booth of Irish paraphernalia where Neil is remarking on their odd T-shirt standards>>

<<NYS Police Exhibit; canines. Unfortunately we missed the 'bad boys, bad boys' smack down involving rappelling police and crazies>>

<<Glass of milk for 25 cents? Heck yes! Delicious? Heck yes!>>

<<The butter sculpture this year was a city called 'Dairyville'...they keep getting lamer. Honestly, they used to be incredible life sized sculptures of family or animals.>>

<<To think this used to be me riding the wooden/plaster cows that move in a slow circle. Doesn't she look sooo excited?>>

<<Prize winning chickens>>

<<Awww sleepy ducklings>>

<<Ridiculously fluffy rabbit...'where are your eyes!?' to quote the yelling child standing next to me>>

<<Haha lookit da chubbee bunnee!>>

<<Ok, ok this is the last type of livestock I took a picture of...I think>>

<<Awww>>

<<People as far as the eye can see>>

<<Beautiful landscape. There was a ride this year where they put the children into giant, individual balloon structures and had them hamster wheel it around a shallow pool. Best ride ever? I think yes.>>

<<Mom and Neil with Dad at his gate job for the Fair. Sarah had a job with parking so no picture for her, sorry girl>>

<<Dad: "Let me get back to my job guys!" Me: "Never!">>

<<A tractor for Molly, who enjoys pink to the millionth degree>>

<<Neil enjoying his slushee, he even shared it with me. Such a great brother, right?>>

<<The signs said there was a zoo but it turned out to be where they park the trailers and a very long walk for me and Neil>>
