The Matrix

On Saturday night, my friend Stephanie and I were walking back from the parking lot when we a cat came up to us to say hello.  She seemed cold and lost so we took her home.  She is all black with little white paws and a white belly.  Most of the stray cats around here are mean and avoid people so because she was very friendly, we figured she must have been a pet.  We decided to temporarily adopt her until a final home for her can be found and in the meantime she is bringing our townhouse family together.  Her name is now Matrix, from the movie.  At this point she has been treated for fleas and eats all the time! Who doesn't like a fat cat though?

The Cole Family and Me

Sitting at home, bored, my brother Paul comes out in his full National Guard uniform and says he is leaving for a weekend of fitness testing in Rochester.  Having promised to visit my housemate and friend, Stephanie over break I took this to be the only opportunity to get a free ride to her house.  Unfortunately, this left me with approximately 5 minutes of planning time.  So I called my friend Stephanie but she did not answer so I packed my weekend bag and jumped in the car with Paul and Dad, bound for Rochester.  It was only when we pulled into a Burger King, where I nommed a burger heavily sedated with ketchup (not by choice), that Stephanie called me back.  She conveniently had me over that very night where I got to watch her brother Sean play a game of high school varsity basketball.  The next day was the Cole family reunion where I met the entirety of her family.

Overall it was a super fun day with all sorts of games and kids and the good kind of crazy.  I hope in about ten years all of my siblings and I can remain that close and get along that well.  I'm thinking some T-shirts with a family name on the back.  P.S. we'll be adopting Sara B. so she'll be there too.  Stephanie, despite your 4 year old cousin kicking me in the face, I think you're family is amazing.
